A Day of Renewal, Exploration, and Care for the Caregiver
West Concord, MA
May 23, 2026
As the warmth and renewal of late spring settles across New England, we invite you to pause, breathe, and step into a day of deep inner exploration. Spring is a natural time for emergence and transformation—when the world around us softens, opens, and comes alive again. This one-day Holotropic Breathwork™ experiential offers a space to reconnect with your own inner vitality, creativity, and wisdom.

Holotropic Breathwork was developed by Dr. Stanislav Grof and Christina Grof, pioneers in the early field of psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy. During the 1950s and 1960s, Stan Grof conducted groundbreaking clinical research exploring the therapeutic potential of psychedelic substances for healing trauma and expanding consciousness. When psychedelic research was halted in the early 1970s, Stan and Christina sought a way to continue exploring these powerful healing states without the use of medicines.

Through years of clinical observation and experimentation, they developed Holotropic Breathwork, a method that combines accelerated breathing, evocative music, focused bodywork, and a supportive group setting to facilitate non-ordinary states of consciousness. These expanded states often allow individuals to access deep emotional material, unresolved experiences, creative insights, and profound spiritual perspectives—all guided by the psyche’s innate movement toward healing and wholeness.

This experiential offers a rare opportunity to explore these expanded states through breath alone, within a safe, carefully held container.

Participants often report benefits such as:
-
Emotional release and resolution of held tension
-
Greater self-awareness and personal insight
-
Access to creative and intuitive capacities
-
A deep sense of connection—to self, others, and the larger field of life
-
Renewed vitality, clarity, and perspective
This particular offering is especially intended for providers and caregivers—therapists, physicians, bodyworkers, facilitators, educators, and others whose work involves supporting the healing and growth of others. Those who spend their days holding space for the public often have few opportunities to be held themselves.

This day is designed as care for the caregiver—a chance to step out of the role of helper and into a space of personal restoration, exploration, and renewal.

The workshop will be facilitated by guest facilitator Tom Francescott, an experienced guide in the Grof Breathwork lineage. The day will be hosted by Emma Barton of Movement Mindfulness Medicine, who will also be serving as an apprentice alongside Billie Kunzang.

Together we will create a supportive environment that honors the wisdom of the breath, the intelligence of the psyche, and the healing potential of community.
We warmly invite you to join us for this day of exploration and renewal as spring unfolds around us.
